Customer Responsibility

  • Kindly note your delivery option chosen at the Checkout page.
  • Please put a delivery address where we can deliver to you between Monday – Friday during standard working hours (8am-5pm). For instance if you are at work Mon – Fri please use your work address for delivery and note your home address.
  • You are required to meet the drivers at the building front door or front gate at your location.
  • We would make two attempts to deliver products to you. After the 2nd unsuccessful attempt, the vendor would be informed & the product would be returned to the vendor.
  • Some products may not be suited for Expedited shipping (24 or 48 hour delivery).This may be applicable for products that need some time to prepare e.g., baked items, customized orders, etc.
  • We will continue to ensure that you are kept updated on their orders.
  • Kindly be reachable by phone so that our team can coordinate a seamless delivery to you.

International & Local VISA Debit Cards

Most international debit cards are accepted via our electronic payment processor WiPay. Some local banks may have restrictions on their VISA debit cards, but to date we have had customers successfully use their Scotiabank & JMMB VISA debit cards to make payments directly through WiPay on our website.

Customer Online Banking Transfers:

  1. If the online bank transfer is not made the same day as placing the order on 868.market this can result in a delivery delay.
  2. If paying via online bank transfer please remind your customers to send us proof of payment here: Contact Client Support

Delays in Delivery

Any changes to orders after the order was placed can result in 2-3 days additional delivery days. This includes:

  1. Online banking transfer was not made the same day as placing the order.
  2. Any modifications to orders after the order was placed (either by seller or customer)
  3. Incorrect delivery address provided
  4. Changes to the delivery address
  5. Delivery team unable to get in touch with the seller
  6. 5. Delivery team unable to get in touch with the customer
  7. The customer does not make their online bank transfer the same day as placing their order on 868.market.
  8. Customer not at the delivery address when the courier is attempting to fulfill/complete the order.

Returns, Exchanges and Unsuccessful Delivery Attempts 

In the event that the following arises, the vendor will incur a Return/Exchange Fee of $25.

  1. If the vendor mixes up the order (eg. sends the wrong order to a customer).
  2. If the product was already delivered to the customer and we have to return to collect the product or exchange the product
  3. If the product delivered to the customer was faulty/damaged and we have to go back to the customer to collect or exchange the product
  4. After 2 unsuccessful delivery attempts, the order will be returned to our office, where the vendor can collect. Only in the event that the driver has to collect items from the vendor the driver will return the item to the seller.
  5. If we are unable to get in touch with a customer the order will be returned to the vendor

Other Delivery Specifics

  1. Each single order placed will be delivered to 1 address. If an order has to be delivered to two addresses the customer will have to place 2 orders.
  2. Customers are required to collect the packages at the front door, gate, or entrance to the building at their delivery address. Due to our COVID-19 safety protocols, our couriers are not allowed to enter homes or buildings.
  3. We have implemented T&T Shipping Zones for Metro, Extended, Rural and Tobago Delivery (see our delivery table for zones & rates).
  4. We offer free delivery to our network of 868 Hubs (see full list below). Deliveries to other areas will incur a small minimal cost to be paid by the customer.
  5. No cash payments will be accepted for Extended, Rural or Tobago deliveries. We recommend that customers in these areas pay via credit card or Visa debit cards on our website, to get their orders in the shortest time possible. Visa debit cards and credit card payments are confirmed immediately. Customers in these areas also have the option to pay with online bank transfer.
  6. Depending on the delivery area customers can also pay or via our Point of Sale machine upon delivery. However these machines only work where there is good network or cell phone service.
  7. Sometimes we may outsource deliveries to other reputable courier companies to assist with deliveries, especially for high traffic delivery periods. This is only to ensure customers get their deliveries on time.

Delivery Rates

At 868.market we offer a variety of delivery options to meet your convenience as best as we can. Our range of delivery options include :

868.Market is committed to deliver your items within the standard 3-5 working days or via the expedited shipping options as selected by the customer. Our delivery team will contact you via phone to schedule delivery and to verify the delivery address. Our deliveries are routed and therefore the stated time of delivery will be an estimate.

We ask that customers or your assigned representative inspect your order, before signing our Delivery Invoice confirming receipt in good condition. If you are not able to accept delivery after it has been dispatched, the team will assist in rescheduling the delivery at a later date or time. At 868.market it is paramount that we conduct our deliveries with the utmost safety of our staff, therefore if the delivery poses a threat to staff or our property (vehicles or items), we will contact you to make alternative arrangements for delivery.

868.market remains committed to delivery within 3-5 business days which excludes Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays If the customer wishes to receive an order on these specific days or on any specified date and time, then the customer would be required to pay for our expedited delivery options or Public Holiday delivery where necessary.

Not all areas are eligible for delivery, if your order is not eligible for delivery the 868.market delivery team shall notify you as soon as possible and arrange the most convenient time and place for you to pick up your order.

All delivery dates are given in good faith but are subjected to all matters beyond our control/ unforeseen circumstances including acts of God (such as, but not limited to, fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, tidal waves, excessive rains and floods), governmental restrictions, strikes, lockouts, riots, roadblocks, damage to roads & bridges, mass events and delays by suppliers, matters concerning pandemics and/or acts or threats of terrorism. As a customer, all reasonable attempts must be made to ensure that we would be able to fulfil our delivery arrangement with you with minimal delays.

Please also note that your delivery may take longer during holidays, sales, or other peak periods, however we will work  assiduously to ensure that these deliveries occur in a timely manner.

Unsuccessful Delivery Attempts 

A total of two (2) attempts will be made to deliver the item to the customer at no charge. If these (2) delivery attempts are unsuccessful the package will be brought back to the 868.Market warehouse, where it will be stored (if the item was warehoused with 868.Market) or if not warehoused, the vendor will be responsible for picking up their item. Customers can request our delivery service to their home or office, once there is someone to collect and make a payment approximately between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Standard deliveries (business day deliveries) are done only from Monday through Friday, and not on Public Holidays or Weekends. In the event that the delivery is being made outside of these hours the customer will be contacted in advance.

Payment methods accepted are online credit card payments or upon delivery via Linx or debit card. Online Credit Card payments must be paid prior to delivery. Our drivers will call each customer prior to the delivery of their items to try our utmost best to ensure that the customer or their representative is available to collect the package. We will notify the vendors of any customers who are unreachable via phone. After three days of trying to contact a customer via telephone with no answer the order will be cancelled. The vendor will be informed of this delivery cancellation and the customer will receive a Cancellation Notification of their order via email.

We aim to deliver anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago however there are certain areas of the country which may provide certain limitations or restrictions concerning our delivery efforts. Under this circumstance, we hold the rights to refuse delivery to such areas at our discretion, however we will contact the customer to make alternative arrangements if possible. In the event that we are unable to deliver to a certain area you will be notified.

Tobago Deliveries:

Deliveries to Tobago are sent via courier on the Inter-island Ferry Service. Our packages leave for Tobago every Tuesday and Thursday so it is recommended that you deliver packages prior to these days so that they can arrive to your Tobago customers in a timely manner.

Expedited shipping options do not apply to Tobago deliveries. Also if we are faced with any delays with the ferry service, this can cause an additional 1-3 days in the Tobago delivery.

There may be an additional surcharge for Tobago deliveries.  This surcharge is necessary to cover freight and handling expenses on route from Trinidad to Tobago. These trips to Tobago are dependent on the availability of the Tobago ferries.
